Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our property management team. The ideal candidate will support our accounting department by managing financial transactions, vendor communications, and maintaining precise financial records in a fast-paced environment. This position will report directly to the Controller.
Job Responsibilities:
- Process and sort incoming mail with high precision
- Set up new vendors in accounting software
- Manage accounts payable email communications
- Prepare and file payables for accounting managers
- Review invoices for complete documentation and appropriate approvals
- Match checks with vendor invoices
- Maintain accurate files and documentation per company policies
- Absolute commitment to maintaining strict confidentiality
- Ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion
- Perform additional duties to support the Accounting Department
Preferred Qualifications:
- Property Management industry experience
- Knowledge of accounts payable/general ledger systems
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite
- High School diploma or equivalent
