Job Summary :
HR Payroll assistant will assist the HR Director and accounting in effectively handling payroll related tasks and duties. These objectives will include assisting with payroll operations, guiding employees on through our HR / Payroll software, working with accounting to match all payroll adjustments prior to submitting payroll, and assisting departments on various tasks and projects
Reports to : HR Director
This is an onsite position 5 days a week in Calabasas, CA
Wage Status : Salary (exempt)
Job Responsibilities :
- Handle daily payroll department operations, including collecting and verifying timekeeping information and processing payroll under the supervision of the HR Director
- Interacts professionally with all company employees and outside persons, such as customers, employees, vendors and professional service providers
- Assist the HR Director with payroll related tasks
- Maintain the strictest of confidentiality with employee’s salaries and personal information
- Pull ad hoc reports through payroll and Yardi software’s
- Maintains files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy
- Be able to work independently and efficiently
- Assist employees with payroll related questions including but not limited to timesheets, resetting passwords, salary distributions, salary corrections, etc.
- Upload, process, review files, and daily maintenance on HR & Property management software
- Process garnishments, commissions, prepare termination checks, and submit voluntary deductions, etc.
- File and sort documents in respective personnel files
- Investigate any discrepancies that are HR / Payroll related
- Thorough understanding of state and federal laws in relation to their duties
- Assist the HR director and / or various departments with projects and tasks when needed
- Complete courses and attended meetings as required
- Assist HR Director with creating procedures for the HR department
