Position Overview:
We are looking for a Human Resource Generalist to support recruitment efforts, maintain employee records, and ensure payroll compliance. Key Responsibilities:Recruitment & Staffing:
- Oversee staffing requisitions and collaborate with hiring managers.
- Post job openings and efficiently screen candidates.
- Ensure compliance with all hiring policies and procedures throughout the recruitment lifecycle.
Employee Records & Data Management:
- Maintain and update personnel records with accuracy and confidentiality.
- Address employee inquiries and provide responsive HR support.
Communication & Documentation:
- Prepare and draft internal and external communications, including letters, forms, and reports.
Payroll & General HR Support:
- Assist with payroll-related matters and ensure HR systems remain compliant.
- Handle additional HR tasks and special projects as needed.
- Strong interpersonal and business writing skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Access, Excel, and Word.
- HR certification (PHR, SPHR, or equivalent) is a plus.
- Previous experience in a unionized environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of state personnel laws, compensation policies, and benefits programs.
- In-depth understanding of HR processes in large organizations.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to provide data-driven recommendations.
