Masis Professional Group is assisting our client in searching for a CONTRACT ROLE UNTIL AUGUST 2025 (open to extensions) The Machine Operator
Position Summary
The Machine Operator will operate the assigned machine(s) and help meet all Production and Quality Requirements. This hands on role will assist in clearing jams and correcting minor mechanical issues (lock out tag out trained). SCHEDULE: 5 day work schedule (Saturdays as needed)
- 1st shift Monday - Friday 6:45am - 3:15pm
- 2nd shift Monday-Friday 2:45pm - 11:15pm
- 3rd Shift Sunday- Thursday 10:45pm-7:15am
Pay: Weekly Pay and Overtime
- 1st shift $20/hr
- 2nd shift $21
- 3rd shift $21.50/hr
Duties and Responsibilities:

- Material handling (filling hoppers, etc.).
- Direct operating responsibilities (safety, quality, productivity).
- Assisting Technicians with minor preventive maintenance tasks. Identifying and communicating chronic machine issues to Line Technicians.
- Accurately complete all required paperwork. Complete Oracle transactions. Conduct paperwork audits and other quality testing as required.
- Train others on machine operations to include assembler roles as required.
- Assist on-line/packing aisle or other duties as requested by Supervisor and Management.
- Perform start-up operation from power off/cold state; complete equipment and product paperwork, such as traceability and start-up checklist.
- Conduct Level I required preventive maintenance tasks.
- Participate in changeovers to include line clearance, system transactions, and associated documentation.
- Perform work order set ups in electronic batch record, data acquisition and inventory management systems.
- Pull test samples for QC in process inspection, remove completed production from machine and place in finished goods totes.
- Fill component Hoppers/Bowls as required to maintain production.
- Perform minor troubleshooting to diagnose machine performance issues; escalate to assigned Technician when required to ensure resolution. Perform line clearance activities and return equipment to proper operation.
- Update hourly production boards with production and efficiency numbers; note issues that prevented goal attainment (downtime, waste, quality, etc.)
- Submit machine repair tags to identify issues requiring support services.
- Ensure that product not meeting quality specifications is processed under non-conformance procedures/requirements.
- Maintain 5S standards in assigned work areas.
- Model company values and support strategic initiatives.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or required.
- This position is required to assure compliance of Company operations to all applicable laws, regulations and standards, good business practices and company documented procedures (including knowledge of all standards, government occupational health and environmental regulations and statutes related to the site).
- Engage others; promote and participate in Environmental, Health and Safety initiatives, focusing on continuous improvement.
Minimum Requirements:
- Machine specific training as required. Strong communication skills.
- Ability to read and comprehend machine faults through Human Machine Interface units. Ability to delegate tasks.
- Ability to work closely in a team environment with a positive attitude. Ability to train others on machine operations. Ability to multitask.
