We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Plant Manager for a growing wholesale bakery in Leominster.
The Plant Manager oversees the plant’s activities to ensure that production meets business objectives. They are responsible for recruiting and training personnel, driving team engagement, managing the annual capital and operational budgets, and working closely with the production team along with sales, procurement, quality, and other support functions to control costs and provide excellent customer service.
The Plant Manager should be able to lead and nurture talent, as our culture and people are key.
The Plant Manager should be able to teach, coach, and train associates in a wholesale bakery environment, to increase effectiveness while adhering to food safety standards.
Key responsibilities include:
Ensuring workplace safety.
Maintaining clear communication, recognizing that people are the most critical asset.
Supporting the company culture and the well-being of our employees.
Continuously improving product quality to meet standards and customer requirements.
Managing the team's performance while ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations.
Preparing production and performance reports (KPIs).
Requirements
- Proven experience in a food manufacturing environment, preferably in whole sale bakery environment.
- Familiarity with SQF, FDA regulations and CGMP practices is highly desirable.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills to effectively lead a team and collaborate with other departments.
- A problem-solving mindset with logical reasoning abilities to address challenges as they arise.
- Bilingual: English/Spanish preferred.
Salary : $140,000 - $150,000
