What You’ll Do:
As a Project Manager, you’ll take ownership of steel construction projects from planning to completion, ensuring each one stays on time, within budget, and exceeds client expectations. You'll be a critical connector between clients, internal teams, subcontractors, and vendors — all while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and communication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead multiple structural and metal projects, overseeing all phases from kick-off through closeout.
- Foster long-term client relationships while collaborating closely with estimators, engineers, architects, and field teams.
- Oversee subcontracts, vendor agreements, and ensure compliance with project specs and company standards.
- Proactively manage and resolve project risks, change orders, and scheduling conflicts.
- Track costs and monitor profitability, while submitting accurate billing and managing collections.
- Maintain strong communication with field operations, conduct job site visits, and lead project meetings.
- Coordinate material deliveries and field measurements, ensuring alignment with construction schedules.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation and reports.
- Support internal process improvements and help train and guide junior team members.
- Ensure all safety standards and PPE requirements are followed on job sites.
What You Bring to the Table:
- 7 years of project management experience, with at least 5 years in structural steel or metals
- Background in Construction Management or Civil Engineering preferred
- Proven ability to lead teams, communicate effectively, and manage multiple priorities
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented mindset
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, project management software, and PDF editors
- Ability to develop positive relationships with clients, vendors, and team members
- A proactive, can-do attitude with a passion for getting things done right
- Willingness to travel locally 25–40% of the time
- Must pass background and drug screening
