Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Superintendent to oversee construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the construction process, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and a thorough understanding of construction management practices.
Duties
- Supervise daily operations on the construction site, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Coordinate and manage subcontractors and laborers, ensuring work is performed efficiently and effectively.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, tracking progress against timelines and adjusting as necessary.
- Oversee budgeting processes, including cost estimation and resource allocation to ensure financial efficiency.
- Utilize construction management software such as Prolog and HeavyBid for project tracking and reporting.
- Review schematics and blueprints to ensure proper implementation of design specifications.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality of work, and adherence to safety protocols.
- Communicate regularly with project stakeholders, providing updates on project status and addressing any concerns or issues that arise.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Project Superintendent or in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction management principles, including budgeting and estimating.
- Proficiency in using construction management software such as Procore and Prolog.
- Familiarity with tools like Ohmmeter for electrical testing is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster a collaborative work environment.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to liaise with various stakeholders including clients, subcontractors, and team members.
- A solid understanding of construction site operations and safety regulations.
