Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician for a Food Manufacturing client in Chandler.
These are 2nd and 3rd shift, direct hire opportunities.
2nd shift: 3:00pm-11:00pm, Monday-Friday
3rd shift: 11:00pm-7:00am, Sunday-Thursday
The Maintenance Technician maintains production equipment through routine repairs and PM execution. Equipment consists of automated high-speed industrial food manufacturing equipment, electric motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems.
The Maintenance Technician will need good mechanical aptitude, problem-solving, and working at pace.
General Duties:
- Ability to maintain GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and food safety standards.
- Ability to work safely with programs such as lockout/tagout (LOTO).
- Equipment setup, adjustment, troubleshoot, perform preventive maintenance (PM) work, overhaul, and repair.
- Use of shop tools, including cutting, grinding, drill press, welding, and minimal machining. Perform work (if qualified) on electric motors and controls.
- Work with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) to perform work orders, document work, and order parts.
- Ability to read and comprehend technical manuals and prints.
- Ability to perform duties both outside and inside in varying conditions including extreme heat, extreme cold and wet and/or humid, etc.
Education, Experience and Additional Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma required.
- Technical college education or equivalent 2 years’ experience in manufacturing related field preferred.
- Ability to understand and communicate effectively.
- Be knowledgeable of and follow the safety procedures and policies as outlined by the company
- Be knowledgeable of safe food handling practices, HACCP, and quality control procedures in your department.
- Must have valid Driver’s License.
