Job Description:
We are seeking a Regulatory Affairs Assistant to assist in ensuring compliance with US OSHA regulations and Canadian Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS). This position involves gathering, maintaining, and correcting data in the SAP EHS database for the preparation of Safety Data Sheets (SDSs), preparing data for regulatory reports, and responding to customer requests regarding regulatory compliance and products.
This position is on-site at our Pittsburgh office. Please note that this position is in Product Safety & Regulatory Affairs, not a lab-based role.
Shifts and salary range:
Monday - Friday
7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
3:00 PM - 10:30 PM
$22.00 - $24.00 per hour
Required skills/Experience:
- Must have a degree in Chemistry or a related science field (at least 2 years of chemistry coursework required).
- Strong computer skills (Intermediate level or above in Excel/Office Suite).
- Ability to handle multiple projects with competing priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
- Familiarity with EHS regulations such as GHS, DG Classification, TSCA, and Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
- Desired Skills:
- EHS or Product Safety experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with regulatory reports and database management.
- Ability to quickly learn new databases and systems.
Degree Requirements:
- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related science field (2 years of chemistry coursework required if degree is in a related field).
Certification Requirements:
- None required, but EHS or Product Safety certifications would be a plus.
