Responsibilities of the Tig Welding Machine Operator

• Set up and operate TIG welding machines, adjusting settings and preparing workpieces for welding.

• Perform welding operations on metals such as aluminum, stainless steel, and carbon steel, ensuring strong and precise welds.

• Inspect finished welds for quality, consistency, strength, and durability.

• Maintain and regularly inspect welding machines, tools, and safety equipment to ensure proper functioning.

• Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, or specifications to determine the welding process and materials required.

• Follow safety protocols and ensure a safe work environment for all team members.

• Conduct quality checks on welds using methods like visual inspection, ultrasonic testing, or x-ray testing.

Requirements of the Tig Welding Machine Operator - 1st Shift

• Proficiency in operating TIG welding machines and other welding equipment.

• Understanding of welding techniques, metallurgy, and welding codes.

• Ability to produce high-precision welds with minimal defects.

• Strong hand-eye coordination and physical stamina for handling heavy equipment and materials.

• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and blueprints.

• Knowledge of welding safety standards and proper handling of hazardous materials.

• Prior experience in TIG welding or a similar welding role is typically required.
