Workers' Compensation Specialist

Masis Staffing Solutions is assisting our client in searching for a Worker's Compensation Assistant in Lebanon PA. Position is temporary and has a flexible part-time schedule. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the claims process by ensuring accurate documentation and processing of medical claims.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Logging worker's compensation claims and DOT incident reports.
• Ensure injury reporting to insurance companies.
• Coordinate injury situations with employees including injury packets, initial treatment, and drug screen.
• Handle adjuster questions and serve as liasison for work restrictions between the health care provider and company supervisor.
• For DOT situations, handle all incident reports.
• Review and process medical claims for accuracy and completeness.
• Maintain organized files and documentation related to claims.

Experience and Education Requirements

• Previous experience in handling worker's compensation, medical billing or claims processing is preferred.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and documentation practices is helpful.
• Understanding of workers compensation law is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are required.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary for effective collaboration with team members and external stakeholders.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems or similar software is advantageous.
