Tooling Technician

Maslonka Powerline Services, a Mastec Company, has an immediate opening for an experienced Tooling Technician to inspect and maintain a variety of tools used in electrical transmission powerline construction.

Job Summary

The Tooling Technician is responsible for maintenance, inspection, and repair of a variety of tools used in the construction of transmission powerlines.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and maintain tooling and equipment used in powerline construction, including but not limited to mats, blankets, cables, grounding, and hooks.

• Identify and resolve problems.

• Collaborate with project teams to anticipate equipment needs and ensure availability.

Minimum Qualifications

• Experience in equipment management in powerline construction or other transmission powerline construction experience.

• Ability to maintain excellent safety standards.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities effectively.

• Must be willing to work overtime and some weekends.

• Must be self-motivated and be able to work alone.

• Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to drive company vehicles.

• Experience with lifting equipment such as forklift, sky track, and loaders.

Preferred Qualifications

• CDL

• 2 years' experience.

This position requires lifting (up to 100 lbs.), pulling, pushing, kneeling, squatting, climbing, working from heights, climbing stairs and ladders, working alone, and potentially working in confined spaces. Employees in this position could be exposed to electrical hazards. Potential job candidates must be able to pass drug and alcohol testing, background check, driving records check, and physical exams as required.
