We are the Maslow Media Group and our corporate team is growing. We need to add a super star Finance and Accounting Analyst to our team. The Maslow Media Group is an established workforce solutions company that provides media and production staff to clients across the country. In addition, we provide IT staffing services to a variety of Fortune 500 companies through our Intelligent Quality Services (IQS) division. Purpose
The Finance and Accounting Analyst's primary objective is to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of accounting records, classifies and summarizes financial transactions including payroll, and events in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), assists with Budgeting and forecasting, account and payroll reconciliations, creates amortization schedules on loans, notes receivable and prepaid expenses, and performing accrual calculations with coded journal entries, including receipt accruals, works with team on Close activities, maintains state and local tax payments; and business registrations and documents accounting processes and policies. The Finance and Accounting Analyst will also play a supporting role in financial reporting, modeling, analysis, research, and assisting corporate employees with accounting technology support.
This position is remote. Willingness and ability to travel up to two times a year is required. Preference will be given to candidates based in the eastern US time zone.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for complex tasks in various financial functions such as budgeting, auditing, forecasting and analysis.
- Support upper management with complex financial and accounting tasks, including conducting detailed analyses of intricate financial and accounting information
- Prepare monthly forecast, risk assessment and variance analysis to senior management
- Perform reviews of accounting records, compile financial statements, and provide guidance on accounting issues / decisions that impact activities
- Identify and resolve contract financial issues and assist in risk mitigation
- Plan, track and reconcile monthly expenditures, internal controls to ensure accurate time charging and billing using Excel and
- Provide monthly and quarterly financial deliverables
- Assist in preparing budgets, development proformas and any other excel based modeling needs as may arise.
- Develop scenario planning tools / models (exit / maintain / grow).
- Assist in preparing presentations, memos and other written or visual reports to senior management or the Board Reporting
- Issue timely and complete financial statements
- Coordinate the preparation of the corporate annual report
- Calculate and issue financial and operating metrics
- Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts
- Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to management
- Provide for a system of management cost reports
- Provide financial analyses as needed, in particular for capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations Compliance
- Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the annual audit
- Monitor debt levels and compliance with debt covenants
- Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
- Performs other duties as assigned by the management team

Physical Requirements
The physical requirement of this position is sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and / or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
