What are the responsibilities and job description for the Social Media Coordinator position at MASN?
Job Overview: This position will support the Content Manager in overseeing and creating content for MASN’s digital platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Create and post breaking news graphics, gameday lineups, highlights, sponsored elements, final scores, and game stat graphics on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram
- Post articles from writers on Facebook and Twitter
- Cut pre- and postgame interviews, segments, and highlights to be posted on the app, website, and social media
- Support the production of weekly podcasts by creating graphics and promoting the podcast on social media
- Work with sales/marketing to coordinate sponsored elements
- Take photos at minor league and major league parks to use on the website and social media
- Curate a cohesive voice across MASN's social media platforms
- Track engagement data from MASN's digital platforms to work with the Content Manager and sales to maximize MASN's digital performance
- Assist the Content Manager in graphics creation
Essential Skills:
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Self-motivated, strong work ethic, and driven to learn
- Ability to multi-task and work under strict deadlines
- Familiarity with Adobe editing software
- Vast understanding of social media trends and engagement maximization opportunities
- Passion for and knowledge of Major League Baseball is a plus
The anticipated salary for this role is $40,000 - $50,000, annually depending on experience.
