Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by efficiently managing inventory, shipping, and receiving processes. This position requires a strong work ethic, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to operate various warehouse equipment.
Responsibilities
- Manage incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy in order fulfillment
- Operate warehouse management systems to track inventory levels and locations
- Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency
- Perform regular inspections of equipment to ensure safe operation
- Welcome delivery trucks
- Receive and track shipments
- Load and unload merchandise in delivery trucks using appropriate tools
- Accommodate and carefully handle fragile merchandise
- Track and document exact shipment arrival and departure times
- Tag and label merchandise
- Label, inventory and allocate merchandise to appropriate areas for distribution
- Place all impaired or damaged merchandise in damage area for records consolidation.
- Operate adequate merchandise management tools (for example, forklift, stock picker, reach truck, hand carts)
- Enter data in inventory and logistics software programs
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Adhere to safety policies
Skills
- Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes, including documentation requirements
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Good communication skills for effective collaboration with team members
- Previous experience in a warehouse setting is preferred but not required
