Job Summary:
The Clinic Supervisor oversees all aspects of the daily clinic operation activities in a manner that supports organizational objectives. Provides technical and administrative oversight and support for clinic staff and providers daily activities. Promotes a positive workplace culture.
Job Specific Duties & Responsibilities:
- Serves as a department resource to staff regarding clinic operations. Respond to questions and concerns of internal and external customers and resolve operational issues.
- Supervise all aspects of clinic’s daily operations; implement actions plans to achieve department and system-wide goals and serve as a role model to clinic staff.
- Monitors staff productivity. Identify ongoing training needs of staff and works with manager to develop a plan to improve the operation.
- Coordinates staff activities and schedules work assignments. Partners with Clinic Manager or Director to recruit, hire, train and evaluate staff as assigned. Maintains competency of staff; develops, implements and monitors training and development plans; ensures staff attends technical and mandatory training/education.
- Conducts regular clinic staff meetings to facilitate communication, and prepares statistical reports as requested by manager, director and/or physicians. Conveys new information to MA staff and other clinic staff as needed.
- Supervises staff to ensure work is performed within prescribed standards. Provides guidance to staff, investigates issues, and manages performance in accordance with established policies and procedures. Facilitates and promotes effective communication, teamwork, and cooperation within department.
- Prepare and provide feedback performance evaluations for staff in timely manner.
- Collaborate with other departments and hospital to achieve interdisciplinary improvements.
- Ensure that timecards are filled out timely for all staff. Assists in maintaining the automated timekeeping system for staff; monitors the edit log; assists with the monthly staffing and on-call schedules; ensures adequate staff and makes arrangements for replacement staff to cover absences by others.
- Monitors facilities, office and equipment maintenance. Ensures office and medical supplies are available for staff.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
- Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience, bachelor degree preferred.
- Five (5) years of direct clinic related experience preferred.
- Two (2) years of Management or Supervisory experience preferred.
