Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Clinical Assessor to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough assessments of patients to determine their mental health and behavioral needs. This role involves working closely with individuals experiencing various challenges, including chronic pain, addiction, and other psychological conditions. The Clinical Assessor will utilize evidence-based practices to provide recommendations for treatment plans and interventions.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients in inpatient settings, focusing on their mental health and behavioral issues.
- Utilize various assessment tools and methodologies to evaluate patients' needs effectively.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings.
- Provide counseling services, including chronic pain counseling and addiction counseling, to support patients in their recovery journey.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Collect and analyze data related to patient outcomes and treatment efficacy for ongoing research initiatives.
- Stay updated on ICD-10 coding practices relevant to mental health & substance use diagnoses.
- Engage in behavioral therapy sessions as needed, ensuring a supportive environment for patients.
- Work with pediatric populations when necessary, adapting assessment techniques to meet the unique needs of children.

Education Requirements:
Bachelors Degree Required with a QMHP license, but a Master’s degree in counseling, social work, or psychology; License or licensed associate is preferred (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, CP, LMHP-R).
Minimum one (2 ) plus years of conducting intake assessments in a mental health, substance abuse or social services environment.
Ability to resolve conflicts and diffuse a crisis if necessary.

Pay: $38.20 - $46.01 per hour
