Senior Process Engineer - cGMP Inorganic Chemicals
Location: Charlotte, North Carolina (On-site)
We’re looking to immediately hire a chemical engineer by education, in a newly created Senior Process Engineer role based in Charlotte North Carolina, on behalf of our rapidly expanding client who are scaling their cGMP production of inorganic chemicals and biobuffer salt manufacturing due to customer demand.
As their first fully fledged process engineer, you’ll take the lead on the design, implementation, optimization and troubleshooting of the commercial scaling manufacturing processes.
This role will uniquely have the mentorship of the company’s Chief Operating Officer, who also begun their career as chemical engineer by trade and ascended from process engineering into their C-suite function today!
Key job duties will be: -
- Designing and scaling new inorganic chemical and biobuffer manufacturing processes.
- Optimizing existing processes to improve yield, purity, and cost effectiveness.
- Authoring/Executing equipment and process validation protocols.
- Troubleshooting complex process issues and identifying root causes.
- Providing technical expertise on inorganic chemistry principles.
Here’s the experience you’ll possess to be successful in the role: -
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical engineering, Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry.
- A minimum of 2 years experience in relevant Process engineering role.
- cGMP manufacturing/production environment experience highly desired but not essential.
- Ideally core domain knowledge in either/or inorganic salts, biobuffer, and solutions manufacturing.
