Personal Lines Account Manager
Responsibilities:
- Maintain current, accurate records within our AMS database, WorkSmart Imaging program in the areas of, but not limited to, processing new business, renewals, endorsements, cancellations, etc.
- Act as intermediary between clients and insurance companies to arrange personal insurance coverages as the need arises for our clients and prospective clients.
- Expedient and accurate processing while engaged with clients via phone, internet, email, or fax.
- Responsible for account rounding.
- Responsible for renewal reviews as directed.
- Extensive interaction with Personal Lines clients in the areas of claims reporting and claims follow-up.
- Participate in meetings, conferences, and team project activities.
- Complete various assignments/projects as requested by Management or Department Manager.
- Assist in training new employees in the department.
- Good judgment needed to prioritize workload.
- Adhere to agency procedures, standards, suspense timelines and guidelines.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma required; College degree preferred
- Michigan Property and Casualty License required
- Minimum of 2 years of applicable Personal Lines insurance experience required
- Working knowledge of AMS360 highly desired; proficiency with MS Office Suite
- Familiar with commonly used insurance concepts, practices, and procedures
- Knowledge of carrier forms and conditions
- Aptitude to make decisions in the best interests of the client, agency, and carriers
- Accountability for ordering renewals and binding with carriers before expiration
- Ability to provide empathy to our clients when they have claims
- Effective communication skills, both oral and written
- Ability to work in a team environment
- High level of problem-solving ability, including independent judgment and decision-making skills with some supervision
- High level of confidentiality
- Good attendance and punctuality; dependable and reliable
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm
