Job Summary: The Lunch/Recess Aide is responsible for supervising students during lunch and lunch recess. The job involves monitoring students during lunch and moving between inside and outside during recess to provide student support and safety. The Lunch/Recess Aide also helps to ensure cleanliness and functionality during lunch and recess. Some other duties include security, safety, working with students and teachers, and cleaning the lunchroom areas.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to work cooperatively with teachers and students
- Ability to work in a team setting with other lunch/recess aides
- Positive attitude and rapport with teachers and students
- Excellent communication skills
Job Description:
- Responsible for supervising students during lunchtime
- Playground student supervision during lunches
- Tracking and recording minor behavior referrals
- Wiping tables
- Stacking chairs
- Emptying trash
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
- This position may require long periods of standing, sitting, and walking.
- The position may require occasional lifting supplies and movement of furnishings during the course of the school day.
- Work takes place both indoors and outdoors.
Schedule: 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM Lunch Supervision M-F
Hourly Rate: $15.00 per hour
