The Mason-Rice Afterschool Program (MRASP) is seeking creative, energetic, and professional afterschool teachers for the 2022-2023 school year.
MRASP provides a high quality afterschool program for K - 5th graders : offering fun, creativity, and the opportunity to develop and grow as an educator.

About us :
Mason-Rice Afterschool Program is a private, non-profit school aged afterschool program operating out of a Newton Public School building.
We serve K-5th Grade and prioritize social and emotional learning while having fun.
We provide a nurturing and fun after school environment with a neighborhood-like atmosphere. Our daily schedule includes both structured programming such as arts and crafts, sports, science, drama, special events, and field trips, as well as unstructured hang-out time .
We strive to promote the social and emotional development of children by helping them gain self-confidence, build positive relationships, develop decision-making & conflict resolution skills, and foster independence.
We promote an environment that celebrates diversity and respects individual differences.
We are seeking applicants with :
Experience working with children in grades K-5th in a structured, recreational setting.
- Enthusiasm, creativity, positive attitude, initiative, strong work ethic, and flexibility.
- Experience in planning and running a variety of activities such as arts and crafts, gym / outdoor games, science, & drama.
- Commitment to quality, growth, and the desire to make a difference for children and families.
Experience in team teaching
