Fireplace Service Technician

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in manufactured fireplaces. With the ability to work independently and as part of a team. This role involves the installation of various types of fireplace facings ensuring that all work meets safety standards and provides customer satisfaction.

The position offers room for growth within the department.

Duties

• Install a variety of facings - including mantels, slate, and granite.
• Conduct thorough inspections of sites to assess installation requirements.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide excellent customer service.
• Maintain cleanliness of company provided van.
• Perform finishing as needed for fireplace surrounds.
• Fabricate custom components to meet specific project requirements.
• Manage construction tasks efficiently to ensure timely project completion.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment throughout the installation process.
• Track departmental inventory.
• Eventually expanding into servicing gas fireplaces and grills.

Requirements

• Experience in the installation of fireplace facing kits helpful but not required.
• Excellent critical thinking skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team setting.
• A valid driver’s license required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.55 - $21.90 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
