Inventory Clerk
Job Brief
We are looking for a detail-oriented, hard -working Inventory Clerk to join our team. They will have prior experience working in a warehouse environment and will possess excellent math skills. They will, when required, have flexibility regarding scheduling.
Duties & Responsibilities
The Inventory Clerk’s responsibilities include managing all the company’s supplies, parts and products. They track items as they enter the warehouse through records of what’s been purchased/received, sold/shipped, returned and transferred. They participate in forecasting and purchase planning. Ultimately, they will be responsible for the inventory of all supplies and products.
· Maintain and update inventory records using ERP’s inventory management software.
· Support returned items via updating Sales Order’s/Project Board’s product details, communicating and executing returned item’s dispositions.
· Monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages and excesses.
· Perform scheduled physical inventory cycle counts, reports and reconcile any discrepancies.
· Coordinate with Sales and Procurement teams to forecast future inventory needs.
· Implement effective inventory control methods and procedures.
· Identify and report obsolete, stagnant and damaged inventory in accordance with company policies and procedures.
· Inspect returned merchandise.
· Audit incoming and outgoing shipments.
· Provide inventory control reports as required.
· Assist loading and unloading inbound & outbound shipments.
· Operate equipment according to training provided.
· Operate in a safe and efficient manner.
Qualifications
· High school diploma or equivalent is required, Associates degree or higher is preferred.
· 2 years of experience in an Inventory role.
· Ability to use computers and other office technology.
· Familiarity with data entry systems.
· Able to lift weights up to and including 50 pounds and climb ladders up to a 20’ elevation.
· Able to stand and bend for long periods of time in a warehouse environment.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Great Mathematical, analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel.
· Attention to detail and organizational skills.
· Ability to work extended hours.
· Forklift experience is beneficial.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
