We also offer a state of the art professional Engineering Department specializing in thermal analysis, custom steel support design, 3D coordination, and certified seismic layouts for all mechanical, architectural, plumbing, and electrical system needs.
Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for construction projects, ensuring that all aspects of the project are accounted for. This role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to work collaboratively with sales teams and project managers to deliver high-quality estimates that align with project goals. Job duties will include reading plans and conducting onscreen takeoffs, transferring the takeoff information into our quotation software and generating proposals for customers. Close interaction with the lead estimator and sales team will be required on a daily basis.
Responsibilities
- Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
- Utilize construction estimating software such as Bluebeam and AutoCAD to create detailed estimates.
- Collaborate with sales teams to assess project requirements and develop comprehensive quotes for our customers.
- Answer inquiries from customers and other members of the team on the phone and via email.
- Other office duties, projects and tasks as assigned.
Skills
- Proficient in construction estimating techniques and methodologies.
- Familiarity with contract negotiation processes.
- Experience in project management within the construction industry a plus.
- Ability to effectively build relationships with team members, clients, and vendors.
- Detail-oriented with excellent analytical skills to interpret complex data accurately.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration.
