Full-time; Monday - Friday; 3pm - 11pm.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
· Prepares a 4 week schedule for all three shifts for nursing personnel with attention to staff requests for benefit time, staffing par levels and contractual obligations
· Places a copy of the master schedule to the appropriate common areas for staff access.
· Responsible for calling/obtaining staff for openings due to call ins
· Enters schedules and staffing sheets are accurate
· Communicates to staff any changes in schedule
· Responsible for new hire training schedules
· Provides staffing for sick leave, vacation and long term leave
· Keeps Nursing Administration updated on needs
· Makes over-time calls every two weeks and as needed to fill staffing needs
· Schedules over-time as outlined in the union contract
· Keeps accurate record of calls
· Familiar with union contractual agreements regarding staffing benefit time, etc.
· Responsible for assigning code team for 3-11
· Updates and posts census and staffing levels on staffing sheet for 7-3/3-11 on week days
· Responsible to post notices on households regarding need for coverage 1 week prior to schedule posting.
· Keeps all resident and staff related sensitive information confidential
· Attends meeting and Inservices programs as required
· Upon receiving notification of a change in staffing due to illness etc. Lists staff member on the “call-in sheet” with name, time of call, and reason for call in
· Responsible for filing staffing sheets
· Responsible for scheduling annual vacations per contract
· Responsible for reviewing employee time off requests and determining if request can be approved based on number of staff members with approved time off on the same date
Forwards request slips to the appropriate Neighborhood Manager for signature
· Performs other related duties as requested
QUALIFICATIONS
· High School diploma to include secretarial concentration or equivalent work experience
· One year clerical experience
· Proficient computer skills
· Good interpersonal skills
· Excellent communication and telephone skills
· Able to multitask
· Excellent organization and time management skills
Able to recognize priorities
The base range for this position is $1 8.50 - $20 per hour commensurate with work location, experience, skills, certifications, education & prior accomplishments.
The position may be eligible for additional compensation not listed here, including but not limited to shift differentials, incentives or bonuses, as applicable.
