The Staff Scheduling Coordinator must thrive in a fast-paced environment, be able to motivate and inspire a team and effectively respond to the changing needs of the seniors we serve.
Schedule: Wednesday - Sunday, 8:30 - 5
Job Responsibilities:
Assists with attendance tracking, including maintaining tardy and absence calendars.
Reports to Director of Nursing all employees with excess tardiness or absenteeism in accordance with policy.
Documents employee and Agency cancellations and follows up appropriately.
Maintains an updated PRN list and distributes to required staff.
Works with Human Resources and Director of Nursing when scheduling modified work duty employees in accordance with work restrictions and policy.
Assists employees in accurate completion of forms (i.e. leave and day off requests, time cards, etc) pertinent to scheduling and staffing.
Completes bi-weekly nursing shift schedules coordinating requests to ensure appropriate coverage of units. Completes and posts work sheets/time schedules.
Performs miscellaneous duties pertaining to staffing and assist nursing supervisory personnel as necessary.
Works cooperatively with residents, residents' representatives, facility staff, physicians, consultants and ancillary service providers.
Answers employee calls regarding staffing/scheduling functions. Prepares written correspondence as necessary, including staff grievances pertaining to scheduling.
Ensures newly hired nursing staff has schedules on day of orientation.
Consults with nursing department staff and supervisors concerning the staffing/scheduling needs: to assist in elimination/correction of problem areas, and/or improvement of services.
Makes recommendations to Director of Nursing concerning staffing and scheduling issues.
Develops and maintains a good working rapport with interdepartmental personnel, as well as other departments within the facility.
Ensures administrative functions are carried out promptly for an efficient operation. Assists in standardizing the methods in which work will be accomplished.
Coordinates services provided by Agency and maintains Agency records (sign-in forms, staffing needs, contracts and counseling).
Observes Residents' Rights and safety policies at all times.
Attends in-service training programs and staffing conferences as needed.
Comes to work as scheduled and consistently demonstrate dependability and punctuality.
Other duties as assigned, performed in an effective, timely and professional manner.

Requirements
Qualifications:
High School Diploma
Must be a licensed LPN in the state of Kentucky.
Staff scheduling experience with long term care background preferred.
Experience using electronic scheduling software is a must. Specific experience using SmartLinx preferred.
