As a Logistics Manager, you will carry out our Mission of Love by overseeing and executing specific tasks related to the acquisition, receipt, storage, inventory control and distribution of material, equipment, and supplies. Monitors the daily transactions of the department's operations in accordance with established priorities and schedules. Evaluate and identify areas within supply chain department to operationalize efficiencies and ensure processes are defined and documented. This position oversees all staff and directs operations within the Central Supply department across Masonic Village's campuses. Performs as a frontline problem solver while adopting and leveraging new technologies to advance the organization's Mission.
Our Logistics Manager is responsible for the following:
- Champions projects within department that support strategic initiatives such as inventory control, cycle counting, product labeling, process training and the advancement of technology software and hardware.
- Frequently inspects storage and distribution functions within the department to ensure adequate adherence to policies with high levels of accuracy and organization.
- Manages all aspects of ordering, receiving, inspection, storage and distribution of medical supplies and equipment.
- Motivates, supervises, schedules, trains and evaluates all Central Supply staff at multiple campuses.
- Oversees central supply purchasing and storage. Recommends and develops new methods to carry out tasks within these areas to improve quality, service and cost.
- Leads and participates in committees, meetings, work groups and task forces as needed to represent the Purchasing and Materials Management Team in an appropriate manner.
- Perform daily communication with directors, managers, supervisors and staff to achieve a cohesive supply chain operation.
- Responsible for the integrity of data that is processed by central supply staff within ERP environment. Establishes methods to audit and spot check transactions regularly to ensure accuracy.
- Schedule and run daily, weekly and monthly reports from enterprise resource planning (ERP) to identify performance of purchasing and supplier function. Provide necessary feedback to management regarding KPI measurements.
- Serves as a resource and backup to various functions and positions within the department as needed
- When required, performs duties within department including purchasing, storage, distribution and other inventory control functions.
- Works closely with other departments within the organization to provide customer service and necessary data.
What You Have:
- Bachelor's degree or other combinations of formal education, training and experience
- 3-5 years of direct supervisory/leadership experience, preferably in the healthcare industry and/or warehousing and distribution.
- Strong procurement and inventory management software experience - WORKDAY Software Suite a plus.
- Strong fundamental knowledge of general warehousing and distribution operations.
- Experience with inventory master data including categories, groups, accounting codes, alternate identifiers, min/max, MOQ, UOM, allocations and days on hand.
- Knowledge of continuous improvement practices or lean methodologies.
