OVERVIEW
Pulls stock / specials slabs and transports material to and from designated areas as assigned
RESPONSIBILITES
- Read and interpret tickets to build pallets of slabs
- Operate forklift to load and / or move materials
- Supply production areas with needed materials from inventory
- Supports the manufacturing process through inspection and aid to machine operators
- Coordinates and requests material transfers
- Inspect slabs for defects
- Route doors through manufacturing
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment
- Other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITES
- Handling / stacking requirements
- Read / interpret schedules / tickets
- Strong eye / hand coordination
- Standing for long continuous hours
- Constant attention to detail and accuracy of material placement
- Concentration on proper lifting and ensure floors are kept free of debris
- Regular attendance and timeliness is an essential function of the job in order to not have any disruptions in production and customer service
- Follow all operational and safety SOP’s as written
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred
- Previous work experience in a production environment, preferred
