Shift Maintenance Technician

Work Location: Wahpeton, ND

Shift: C Shift: 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM, 12 hour, non-rotating shifts, every other weekend, and a maximum of 3 consecutive days worked.

Pay: The hourly pay rate for this position is $23.00 $1.00/hour Shift Differential. This information is specific to Wahpeton, ND and may not be applicable to other locations.

Overview

A Glue Line Operator is responsible operating the Glue Line to create full-sized panels in a safe and effective manner.

What you will do:

• Know and adhere to all Policy and Procedures: Hot Works, Confined Space, Lock Out Tag Out, and any Safety Procedures.
• Keep manufacturing equipment and conveying systems running by understanding the function of equipment and by being knowledgeable in repairs, replacement, adjustment, and alignment by using hand or power tools.
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspection of manufacturing and conveying equipment to ensure that equipment / systems are operational.
• Repair, replace, and/or adjust wear parts.
• Fabricate, assemble, and install equipment or miscellaneous parts using hand tools, power tools, or a welder.
• Perform general building, construction, and plumbing maintenance and repair work as assigned.
• Repair wiring, electrical, plumbing, machinery, and equipment per assigned work orders in a timely manner.
• Maintain work area in a neat and orderly fashion. Return tools to assigned area. Replacing all guards and safety items when work is complete.
• Fill in and or assist with training for production and or other maintenance personnel on machine operations and/or adjustments as directed by Supervisor and/or Management.
• Document in logbooks for changes that may affect production processes.
• Complete the spare parts inventory checkout procedure.
• Keep supervisor informed of any significant problems or opportunities related to work activity.
• Other duties as assigned.

What you will need:

• Previous maintenance experience in a manufacturing, production, or agricultural setting.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
• Supply own tools and toolbox.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Call in hours required to repair equipment breakdowns to minimize plant downtime.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs and work a 12-hour shift.
• Knowledge of machines including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
• Ability to use tools ranging from common hand and power tools to precision measuring instruments and electrical testing devices.
• Ability to clearly communicate in both written and oral form.
• Basic welding skills.
• Basic Electrical knowledge.
