What are the responsibilities and job description for the Web Developer position at Masonry?
Masonry is in need of an ambitious, talented front-end developer to create amazing websites with us. Responsibilities will include translation of PSD, and Sketch comps to actual code. You will work with the Design team and bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation, taking an active role on both sides and defining how the websites look as well as works. Additionally, you will use integrate your code with Craft CMS to allow for content management.
Responsibilities include:
- Building pixel perfect HTML pages on Foundation/Bootstrap
- Build the Content Management experience with Craft CMS
- Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
- Optimize websites for maximum speed and scalability
- Build reusable code and libraries for future use
- Assure that all user input is validated before submitting to back-end
- Collaborate with other team members
- Taking ownership of projects
Skills & qualifications:
- Extensive knowledge in HTML5, CSS3, and Webkit animations
- Extensive Knowledge of Craft CMS
- Extensive knowledge in JavaScript/JQuery/Ajax
- Ability to take a PSD and turn it into a working experience
- Ability to take a Sketch file and turn it into a working experience
- Experience in creating exciting experiences on the iPad, iPhone and other mobile devices that conform to W3C standards
- Proficient understanding of cross-browser and mobile device compatibility issues and ways to work around them
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as GIT, SourceTree, and Beanstalk

While that helps, what we need is someone we can trust to get work done and done well. We want to see a solid portfolio showing good HTML practices, interactive elements through CSS or JS and usage of Craft CMS
About this job:
This is a full-time position in downtown Austin. Ability to work in the office most days is required. You can, however, have the flexibility to work from home sometimes.
