Job Description
The Junior Credit Analyst plays a crucial role in maintaining the quality of our loan portfolio by assisting in the analysis of all Commercial Real Estate / Residential loans under the Credit Administration & Independent Loan Review Policy and Lending Policies. This role involves a blend of analytical review, credit risk assessment, and administrative support within the Credit Administration Department.
Reports To
Credit Administration Manager
Primary Responsibilities
Prepare and examine loan files, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
Conduct comprehensive analysis of borrower financial information, including but not limited to tax returns (personal and business), income statements, expense reports, rent rolls, credit reports, and appraisals.
Prepare detailed written summaries and analyses of loan reviews and clearly articulate findings.
Analyze financial statements and credit data of individuals, entities, and properties to determine if there is any risk involved.
Conduct analyses of underwriting, policy adherence, and collateral support to determine risk grade for the loan and / or relationship.
Provide a continuous evaluation of the quality of the Bank’s loan portfolio.
Review customer files to identify any delinquent accounts.
Generate financial ratios to evaluate customer’s financial status.
Reach out to borrowers to request financial statements, as necessary.
Scanning and filing documents, as necessary.
Other duties as assigned.
Desired Skills & Experience
BA or BS in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related area is preferred.
1-3 years of experience in credit analysis, commercial lending, or a related field is desired.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
Highly organized, detail oriented, and able to adhere to deadlines in a timely manner.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including experience in Excel spreadsheets and Power Point Reports
