As Kitchen Manager, you’ll oversee all aspects of the back-of-house operations, from menu development and inventory management to team leadership and compliance. This role requires strong culinary skills, leadership experience, and a passion for creating memorable guest experiences.
What You’ll Do
Culinary Leadership & Team Development
- Hire, train, and inspire a high-performing kitchen team, ensuring adherence to Harpoon’s culinary standards.
- Develop seasonal menus that highlight fresh, locally sourced ingredients and incorporate Harpoon beers.
- Provide hands-on coaching and foster a collaborative and empowering work environment.
- Oversee staff scheduling, training, and ongoing professional development.
- Maximize profitability through efficient inventory control, purchasing, and waste reduction.
- Manage labor costs while maintaining high-quality food production.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and licensing regulations.
- Collaborate with the front-of-house team to pair food & beer offerings and enhance guest engagement.
- Lead the charge in hosting beer dinners, food pairings, and unique events to showcase Harpoon’s culinary excellence.
- 2 years of culinary management experience in a high-volume restaurant.
- Passion for food & craft beer—experience in beer & food pairings is a huge plus.
- Strong leadership skills with a focus on team development & kitchen efficiency.
- Experience with budgeting, food cost management, and vendor relations.
- ServSafe certified (or ability to obtain certification).
