Bachelor's degree in life sciences, biochemistry, chemistry, or chemical engineering with at least 1-2 years of experience in a laboratory setting

PREFERRED COMPETENCIES:
Experience working with mice
Experience formulating and analyzing lipid nanoparticles
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform a variety of routine procedures following established methodologies including lipid nanoparticle formulation, flash freezing, and dialysis
Perform analytical techniques such as dynamic light scattering and concentration measurements via nucleic acid entrapment assay and record quality metrics, with a strong focus on accuracy and reproducibility in work
Perform routine mouse handling procedures including tail vein injection, anesthetization, tail and cheek bleeds, live imaging, and wellness monitoring
Operate laboratory equipment, instruments and robotics to perform repetitive laboratory techniques; learn how to use new instruments
Use universal safety precautionsand proper personal protective equipment to protect self and co-workers from biohazardous materials; complete requisite trainings as appropriate
Participate in lab meetings and generate ideas for improving efficiency and productivity in the lab's operations
Communicate effectively with the team, discuss progress, and share data with supervisors
All other duties as assigned
