Job Summary
Join Mass Eye and Ear's Anesthesia Department, comprised of 6 full-time Anesthesia Techs, 30 Anesthesiologists, 30 CRNAs, and 10 Nurse Practitioners. This collaborative team is a wonderful place to work and learn.Qualifications
Anesthesia Technician Co-op Responsibilities
Performs routine duties to assist the professional nursing and medical staff. Assists Anesthesiologists by setting-up equipment and preparing medications. Orders, stocks, tests, and maintains anesthesia supplies, medications, and equipment. Washes and sterilizes re-usable equipment and reports malfunctioning equipment to appropriate personnel.
Role Functions
- Transports and distributes anesthetic equipment in surgical suites.
- Troubleshoots equipment during operative procedures and makes appropriate replacements when necessary.
- Prepares equipment and assists with invasive monitoring procedures.
- Cleans and maintains anesthesia equipment, machines and carts.
- Cleans, maintains and orders anesthesia supplies. Performs all other duties as assigned.
