Job Summary
GENERAL SUMMARY/ OVERVIEW STATEMENT:
The Cancer Center Protocol Office (CCPO) is seeking a motivated, collaborative individual to join our team as a Clinical Research Associate Manager who will support the work of the CCPO People Organization and Engagement Team. The Cancer Center Protocol Office is a centralized research office that supports clinical researchers in all disciplines within the Cancer Center. Our office promotes and facilitates clinical research by providing comprehensive services to physicians conducting clinical trials while ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
The Associate Manager works under direct supervision of a more experienced manager. The Associate Manager operates within the department’s centralized recruitment process to ensure staffing needs are fulfilled, while working as part of a larger team to provide ongoing support to existing employees through educational and growth initiatives

Qualifications
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Management responsibilities will include the following
- Engage with ongoing comprehensive recruitment strategies for a department consisting of 450 employees
- Collaborate with hiring managers and directors to understand and prioritize specific staffing needs
- Work closely with HR to ensure compliance with regulations throughout the recruitment process
- Manage recruitment process within designated roles, including job posting, screening, interview coordination, reference requests, and offer details
- Support the ‘lifecycle’ of the candidate from application to hire, including onboarding and next steps
- Maintain recruitment metrics and reports via internal tracking methods
- Participate in external events with local universities to facilitate student engagement and promote future employment opportunities
- Serve as member of the CCPO’s People Operations Engagement Team (POET), assisting in the development of department-wide events and initiatives, as well as providing resources and support to existing employees
- Assists in CCPO wide on-boarding activities and systems access requests for new hires
- Collaborate with CCPO Education team to maintain New Staff Orientation and Continuing Education calendars
- Provide supervision and training to new staff
- Additional projects and/or duties as assigned
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with hiring managers, candidates and external partners
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with ability to establish trust and rapport with candidates, managers and other professionals
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a larger team
- Demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality
- Knowledge of clinical research roles and healthcare recruiting
Additional Job Details (if applicable)
- BA/BS degree required
- 2-3 years professional work-related experience required
- Prior experience within the Cancer Center Protocol Office (CCPO) preferred
- Knowledge of clinical research roles preferred
- Orient and train new staff and may supervise a minimum of 4-6 FTEs
- Duties can be performed in an office or remote setting.
- If remote, may require onsite travel once or twice per year
