Job Summary
The Data Analyst II will play a critical role in supporting the organization's analytics initiatives by identifying, querying, analyzing, and visualizing data to inform business decisions. This position requires close collaboration with clinical personnel, analytic groups, and hospital leadership to develop actionable insights and recommendations.
Key Responsibilities
- Elicit data and reporting requirements from hospital leadership, clinicians, and other staff through interviews, document analysis, and requirements workshops.
- Query and analyze data from various sources, including electronic medical records and enterprise data warehouses, to produce meaningful insights and reports for internal customers.
- Present data and analyses to key stakeholder groups and hospital leadership, creating materials and delivering presentations as needed.
- Work with EA and Digital staff to design, maintain, and distribute reports, as well as oversee ad hoc data analyses and new report development.
Requirements:
- Strong ability to work and communicate effectively with staff at various levels within the organization.
- Experience with querying, manipulating, cleansing, and statistically analyzing large data sets using tools such as SQL Server Management Studio.
- Proficiency with Excel, manipulating large data sets, and synthesizing into digestible information, including polished visualizations.
- Ability to clearly communicate complex and sensitive data to hospital leaders and peers.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor message to individuals and audiences throughout the institution.
