PART TIME 20 HOURS MGH BOSTON LICSW
The Learning & Emotional Assessment Program (LEAP) provides neuropsychological evaluations to Pediatric patients age 2-22 with complex neurodevelopmental, psychiatric, and medical needs.
Candidates must be LICSW and have established competency in differential diagnosis for psychiatric disorders in childhood and adolescence.
Experience with the special education system and/or with state-based mental health and developmental services for youth preferred.
The role consists primarily of virtual consultation visits and review of outside records to determine the clinical necessity of a full neuropsychological evaluation.
Additionally, the role will support guardianship evaluations, identifying resources for families, and ultimately manage the initial triage of new incoming referrals, as well as develop and run educational groups for our patients and families.

- Provides psychosocial assessments of patients and families with social, emotional, interpersonal and/or environmental issues.
- Formulates biopsychosocial assessment, disposition, and treatment plans.
- Collaborate with other professionals to evaluate patients' medical or physical condition and to assess client needs as part of the interdisciplinary team.
- Monitor, evaluate, and record client progress according to measurable goals described in the treatment and care plan.
Education
- Master's of Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program required.
- Massachusetts Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) required.
- Clinical Experience in a medical setting 2-3 years required
- Demonstrates proficient clinical judgment and application of professional values and ethics. Integration of prior clinical experience into current practice.
- Demonstrates proficiency to formulate assessment of risks, crisis intervention, psychosocial assessments, treatment plans, and the documentation of both in a timely manner.
- Demonstrates sound clinical judgment and innovation in advocating for clients while maintaining professional boundaries.
- Demonstrates proficient working knowledge of internal and external resources and refers appropriately.
- Provides a range of evidence-based interventions .
- Ability to advocate, coordinate, and continuously communicate with treatment plans with patients, family and the interdisciplinary team.
