Education: Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.
Licensure: Licensed (and in good standing) as a physical therapist in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Skills: Required – BLS required, effective verbal and written communication skills with the English language, basic skills in math and computer science, appropriate knowledge of physical therapy evaluation and treatment techniques, effective problem-solving skills, and basic skills in teaching others and self-assessment of learning needs, strengths, and professional goals.
Preferred Skills: Highly developed communications and interpersonal skills, working with diverse populations, ability to work independently, be self-directed, and contribute as a member of a team, high level of service delivery, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing situations.
Responsibilities: Provide physical therapy services to patients with impairments, functional limitations, or disabilities resulting from injury, disease, or other causes, practice in collaboration with other members of the interdisciplinary team, educate patients, families, and others, direct and supervise support personnel, manage technical, environmental, and financial resources effectively and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities: Assess and evaluate physical therapy needs according to organizational and professional guidelines, develop a treatment plan reflecting understanding of patients' age and situation, revise treatment plans based on patient progress towards stated goals, ensure complete, timely, and accurate documentation in accordance with facility and practice guidelines, orient, train, and mentor therapy and health care students to achieve stated performance expectations, identify and act upon performance improvement opportunities, and uphold the SRN Organizational Values of Innovation, Collaboration, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence.
