Role Overview
We are seeking a Per-Diem, 16-hour Medical Assistant II to support the practice onsite picking up 1-2 shifts a week. We are open from 8:30am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday, and shifts days will vary. As true partners to our providers, our Medical Assistants get the opportunity to work autonomously to the top of their education/certification while also functioning as part of the collaborative team.
Responsibilities include:
- Ensuring efficient patient flow through the office
- Preparing patient charts
- Assisting during office visits (rooming, examinations, procedures, and treatments as directed)
- Performing clinically appropriate tasks related patient panel management (phone calls, test results, prescription refill, coordination of care, etc.)
- Maintaining neat, clean, and safe patient care areas
- Interacting with patients and their families in a professional, friendly manner consistent with their needs.
Qualifications

- Required:
- High School diploma/GED
- Either BLS or Annual Manikin training including CPR and AED after 6 months of hire
- Strongly Preferred:
- Medical Assistant Course or diploma program or a minimum of 1 year professional experience
- National MA Certification via AAMA, AMT, NHA, or NCCT
- Plastic surgery/ambulatory care experience preferred
