Job Summary
The Project Specialist, Committee and Policy for Patient Experience is responsible for overseeing the process of creating, maintaining and evaluating policies aimed at enhancing patient experience, while also supporting committee and standard operating procedures needed.- Support the development, review, and refinement of patient experience-related policies, guidelines, and procedures.
- Ensure that all policies and practices comply with relevant regulations, standards, and accreditation requirements.
- Regularly reviews and maintains patient experience focused policies.
- Manages all portions of projects related to and supporting policy creation and implementation.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather input and feedback on policy changes and updates.
- Serves as key point of contact for coordination of SME groups who will be key inputs to policy development and assessment.
- Creates materials required for policy committees.
- Responsible for standing up and facilitating / leading patient experience-focused committees and working groups.
- Develops committee agendas, manages meeting minutes, and ensures that action items are followed through.
- Supports project management for digital related needs to support patient-centric policies.
- Creates and maintains project plans and tracking system for timely task related throughput.
- Other duties as assigned
The Project Specialist, Committee and Policy for Patient Experience reports to the Director for Patient Experience.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's Degree Related Field of Study or equivalent years of experience required
Experience
- Project management experience 2-3 years required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledgeable of basic business administrative principles and project management best practices.
- Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to work on tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of file management and other administrative procedures.
- Ability to successfully negotiate and collaborate with others of different skill sets, backgrounds and levels within and external to the organization
- Extensive experience in policy development, patient experience management, or related areas.
- Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, standards, and best practices related to patient experience. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
