We are currently hiring a full-time, 36-hour Scheduler to work on site at our Northampton, Locust Street site, Monday-Thursday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm and Fridays from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. Our Schedulers play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our pulmonary patients.

Qualifications
- Receive incoming communication and online requests from patients and referring providers interested in accessing care.
- Perform patient registration and scheduling processes, strictly adhering to established department procedures.
- Document all patient demographic, medical, financial, and referral information into the system to acquire a hospital registration number and schedule appointments.
- Answer telephone calls, triage calls, and take accurate and detailed messages using professional and courteous customer service techniques.
- Provide basic information and instructions to patients regarding the practice and hospitals across the enterprise.
- Acquire all patient information required by providers prior to appointments, ensuring medical records are available to all healthcare providers.
- Completely and accurately transcribe call, referral, and scheduling information in multiple systems.
- Deliver excellent customer service to both internal and external customers of Mass General Brigham Hospitals and ambulatory practices.
- Support ongoing communication and provide service recovery when needed with patients and referring physicians.
- Maintain confidentiality and privacy consistent with HIPAA guidelines.
- Proven experience in an administrative or scheduling role, preferably within a healthcare setting.
- Outstanding customer service skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations with integrity and tact.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to strictly adhere to procedures and protocols.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in using multiple computer systems for documentation and scheduling.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
