Job Overview
As a Physical Therapist, you will provide physical therapy services to patients with impairments, functional limitations, or disabilities resulting from injury, disease, or other causes. You will practice collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, educate patients and families, direct and supervise support personnel, and manage technical, environmental, and financial resources effectively and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and evaluate patient needs according to organizational and professional guidelines
- Develop and revise treatment plans based on patient progress towards stated goals
- Document patient care in accordance with facility and practice guidelines
- Orient, train, and mentor therapy and healthcare students to achieve stated performance expectations
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you must have:
- A graduate degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program
- Licensure as a physical therapist in the state of Rhode Island
- Basic skills in math and computer science
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in English
- Appropriate knowledge of physical therapy evaluation and treatment techniques to manage the rehabilitation population
