GENERAL SUMMARY:
Under the general direction of the Home Hospital ACNO, and with oversight from the Clinical Managers, the Scheduling Specialist, is responsible for a variety of supervisory, administrative, and financial non-nursing functions. The Scheduling Specialist has responsibility for nursing scheduling operations, as well as Physical Therapy and Medical Assistants in accordance with Collective bargaining if applicable to role group. Data Management, UKG maintenance. This role will be responsible for the coordination and monitoring of schedules, payroll, and other systems to support the patient care unit.
Patient Care Services Operations Coordinator
Responsibilities
Responsible for schedule creation, maintenance, and upkeep to support Home Hospital nursing and patient care services workforce, ensuring coverage for all shifts.
Balance the operational needs with scheduling guidelines as determined by staff or collective bargaining agreement, depending on role group.
This role is also responsible for posting and filling open shifts/unexpected absences. Home Hospital Clinical workforce includes Nursing/PT/OT/Speech/MA's (110 FTE's, and 3 Clinical Managers)
Work with teams to establish initial postings of Vacation and Holiday schedules.
Will handle basic office duties, materials management as needed.
Will gain experience on how to run reports as needed, creating 4-6 weeks clinical schedule, and updating capacity calculator for teams as assigned.
Participate in different hospital committees and interface with a large interdisciplinary team.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required.
Experience with Excel, Microsoft Word, Access, and PowerPoint
Experience with UKG Dimensions is nice to have, but willing to train.
Ability to prioritize, delegate and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
Strong communication skills (written and verbally)
Ability to work independently and as a team.
Strong problem solving and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work well with others at all levels.
Ability to adhere to all I.C.A.R.E. standards.
Understanding of medical terminology is helpful but not needed.
Ability to work in a startup environment, rapid change.
