Job Summary

The Staff Nurse Educator is responsible for providing educational support, developing in-service and educational programs, assisting in competence evaluation, and promoting the individual development of staff nurses.

The area of focus for this position is the Medical/Surgical units.

The Staff Nurse Educator reports to the Nurse Director and operates within established organizational and departmental policies and procedures.

This position is part of the Massachusetts Nurses Association Bargaining Unit at Cooley Dickinson Hospital.

Education

Bachelor's Degree Nursing required and Master's Degree Nursing preferred

Licenses and Credentials

• Registered Nurse [RN - Massachusetts]
Current American Heart Association BLS certification required

Experience

Two (2) years experience in direct patient care role 2-3 years required Two (2) years teaching experience 2-3 years required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both in writing and in presentations required.
