The Office of Behavioral Health Promotion and Prevention, part of the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health (DMH) is seeking a dedicated Project Manager to play an essential role in driving the success of grant-funded projects aimed at enhancing community health initiatives. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong organizational skills to coordinate multiple projects, ensuring alignment with project goals, timelines, and compliance requirements. You will collaborate with community partners, local organizations, and stakeholders to foster partnerships that promote behavioral health. The role includes managing data collection and analysis, preparing detailed reports on program outcomes, and offering technical guidance to partners in the field.

In addition to project management, you will provide administrative support to office leadership, including coordinating schedules, preparing meeting materials, and facilitating communication between stakeholders. This dynamic role combines administrative oversight with hands-on project coordination, offering the opportunity to contribute to the broader mission of improving behavioral health promotion and prevention outcomes within communities. Duties and Responsibilities (these duties are a general summary and not all inclusive) :

  • Coordinate multiple grant-funded projects, ensuring timely completion and high-quality outcomes aligned with project goals and timelines.
  • Monitor project progress, evaluating program effectiveness, and providing regular updates to leadership.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets to guide the execution of behavioral health initiatives.
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of grant proposals, ensuring alignment with the organization’s strategic goals and objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with grant requirements and track goal achievement for all grant-funded projects.
  • Provide expert technical support to community partners, including the development of training materials and best practices.
  • Foster and manage partnerships with local organizations and stakeholders to enhance community-based behavioral health efforts.
  • Oversee data collection and analysis, preparing detailed reports on program outcomes and offering data-driven recommendations for improvement.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to shifting priorities, requests, and deadlines.
  • Manage administrative duties for office leadership, including scheduling, meeting coordination, and preparation of briefing materials.
  • Represent the Office of Behavioral Health Promotion and Prevention at events, engaging with stakeholders and facilitating partnerships.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in behavioral health service and program development.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills, ability to prioritize numerous tasks, and to work under time constraints.
  • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
  • Experience in technical grant writing and implementation.
  • Ability to analyze program data and information concerning program operations to evaluate effectiveness.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work with high-level officials and executives and manage stakeholder and community relationships.
  • Ability to establish harmonious working relationships and establish rapport with various stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with MS Office including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Given the population served, bilingual or multilingual fluency.
