What are the responsibilities and job description for the Receptionist - Senate Committee on Ways and Means position at Mass Inc?
JOB SUMMARY
The Receptionist provides clerical and basic administrative support services to the Senate Committee on Ways & Means (Committee). Generally, this position is the Committee's first point of contact with the general public or with persons bringing business before the Committee and its staff, so the Receptionist must demonstrate professionalism, courtesy, and efficiency in the performance of the job. The Receptionist reports to the Chief of Staff to the Committee.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary Duties and Responsibilities :
- Answer office phones and email, check, sort, and distribute the mail, receive visitors, manage Committee correspondence, greet visitors to the State House, and facilitate routine inter-office communications.
- Respond to caller requests for information on Committee and legislative matters.
- Create and maintain records of reports and other materials received by the Committee from state agencies or other sources.
