Responsibilities
Provide guidance and mentorship to the commercial lines team, ensuring all members are motivated and meeting production goals.
Supervise day-to-day operations of the commercial lines department, ensuring excellent service, strong communication, efficient workflows, and adherence to company standards and procedures.
Manage the sales and service of some of our E&O Clients
Maintain and develop carrier relationships with all of our Commercial Lines markets; update team of any changes.
Assist the marketing team with client/broker outreach.
Work with multiple departments of the organization on assigned projects and goals to better the agency and the overall success of the Massachusetts Association of Insurance Agents
Requirements
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in the insurance industry, focusing on commercial lines.
Leadership Skills: Ability to lead, mentor, and inspire a team of professionals.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills essential.
Technical Proficiency: Understanding of commercial lines products, the underwriting process, agency procedures and computer skills.
Licensing: P&C License required, LAH licenses preferred (or the ability to achieve)
Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple priorities and workflow efficiently along with strong time management and detail orientation.
Customer Service: Excellence in customer service.
Data Analytics: Strong analytical and budgeting skills
