Located in Greater Boston, MassBay is a comprehensive, open-access community college offering associate degrees and certificate programs on three campuses in Wellesley Hills, Framingham, and Ashland, Massachusetts.
Position Summary :
The ideal candidate will join a vibrant and inclusive educational community,and have a desire and ability to work with a diverse population. The AssistantDirector of the Academic Achievement Center is responsible for the operationalmanagement of the Academic Achievement Center, including supervising peertutors, overseeing the College's testing center, and ensuring the delivery ofhigh-quality academic support services. This position will also workclosely with the Director of the AAC to support and maintain excellent servicesfor all of MassBay's students.
Key Responsibilities and Duties :
Operational andDay-to-Day Management :
- Handle day-to-day operations and administrative tasks within the Academic Achievement Center;
- Assist in managing the Academic Achievement Center's budget and resource allocation as directed by the Director;
- Maintain and monitor budget records and expenditures for Testing Services and Student Employment in collaboration with the Director of the Academic Achievement Center;
- Participate and provide leadership for committees as assigned, department meetings, and district-level activities when appropriate;
- Assist with daily supervision and office management of the Academic Achievement Center as needed;
- With the Director, oversee the professional development and performance evaluation of Academic Achievement Center staff;
