What are the responsibilities and job description for the Community Senior Associate position at Massachusetts Clean Energy?
This BE Community role is responsible for fostering community and boosting engagement throughout the BE network. The majority of time will be spent supporting Community initiatives, primarily the management of BE ’s six topical Communities and supporting our premier event planning and logistics. The Senior Associate will be responsible for coordinating with our Community Leaders and industry volunteers to develop content and community programming, and to provide logistical support. They will support the Executive Director and Deputy Director in additional Community-related tasks as needed.

The role requires a dedicated, enthusiastic professional with the commitment, skills, and desire required to continue growing and sustaining the resources BE needs to fulfill its mission. This position reports to the Deputy Director while working collaboratively with the BE leadership team. The role will start full-time hybrid. BE anticipates securing office space in downtown Boston in the near future and at that point employees will be expected to be in the office 2-3 days a week.
Job Duties / Responsibilities
Community
- Support the planning and execution of all Community activities. This includes Roundtables, Social Events, Premier Events, and Informative Events;
- Act as staff liaison between Topic Community Leaders, other volunteers, and BE staff;
- Coordinate and participate in all Topic Community planning and gatherings;
- Project manage all premier events, including venue, vendor, run-of-show, and other coordination;
- Set and track engagement metrics;
- Oversee community calendars both internally and externally;
- Communicate regularly with Company Members, Community Stewards, Event Sponsors, and Individual Members on the benefits and ensure we are meeting their needs;
- Support the Deputy Director in managing and renewing Community Stewardship, Company and Individual Memberships, and Event Sponsorships;
- Assist in CRM management system;
