Job Description for TRIO Event Assistant (work-study):
Assisting in the facilitation of activities, workshops, set-up, and other tasks at TRIO sponsored events or MCLA sponsored events that include TRIO
Disseminating marketing materials to interested potential students and their Trailblazer members
Speaking publicly from a student point of view about TRIO Student Support Services to both visitors and members of the MCLA community
Representing the student perspective at MCLA tabling and other events that TRIO staff are involved in on campus
Other duties as assigned
Representing the student point of view at multiple TRIO workshops and other events both one-on-one and in group settings
Inform interested people about what TRIO is and what the program does for students
Be a welcoming presence to those who inquire about TRIO services

Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Able to engage with diverse populations
Willingness to speak in front of groups of people
Must be prompt, dependable and courteous
Ability to work occasional evening and weekend hours
Additional Information:
This position is open only to students currently enrolled at MCLA who have been awarded federal work study.
